**Also, there is to be absolutely NO COOKING OR COFFEE MAKING in the remote observing area.** | To get swipe access to the observing rooms, talk to the administrative staff at least a couple weeks in advance of when you need it (the authorization process is sometimes real slow). |

To get your Cal ID card coded for the entrance to Room 11, you must bring you Cal ID to the Keys, Space, and Heath & Safety person (currently [[magtibay@astro.berkeley.edu|Robert Magtibay]], 601-C Campbell Hall).

If no one is using the Keck Remote Observing setup (mentioned above) for Keck observations, then you can schedule to use that setup for the Lick 3m Shane telescope (although this is still in beta testing as of Summer 2008). There is also a three-headed setup for the Lick 1m Nickel telescope. | All of the Lick telescopes (Shane, Nickel, APF) can also be controlled from the same remote ops rooms as Keck, though usage priority is assigned based on aperture diameter (not first-come-first-serve). |

The APF can be remotely controlled from the remote observing station in HFA (Remote Ops 3), or from either station in Evans.
